Taming The Emotional Chaos Of A Disrupted World
Treat your employees to a mind-mending talk on conquering stress and anxiety at a time it matters more than ever, and from one of the most innovative new voices in the world of mental and brain health.
After an award-winning forty-year career in the high-pressure world of cybersecurity, made even tougher by fifty years struggling with mental illness and thirty years trying to suppress chronic stress that eventually led to burnout and thoughts of suicide, Neal O’Farrell finally quit his career to focus on minding his mind. And he’s already changing the world of mental health.
Cynical but analytical, Neal began to explore the science behind stress management and brain health, from the most tested to the newest, from yoga-inspired sky breath to Dutch cow hugging.
The Get A Grip! Webinar
Now Neal wants to share what he’s learned, and the results he experienced from trying these techniques for himself. Things like:
- Mindfulness
- SKY breath meditation
- Emotional resilience
- Constructive happiness
- Positive psychology
He shares what he learned about brain alchemy, the chemicals that dictate whether we’re happy or sad, stressed or calm, and how we can control them to our advantage.
And he shares his own system for stress management, called BAD, and how effective it can be in confronting and managing personal and work stress.
All available in Neal’s candid new webinar that can run for 60 or 90 minutes, and live or pre-recorded. Click here to view a sample.
More About Neal
Neal was one of the first generation of cybersecurity experts and a pioneer in the field of speech encryption. He spent nearly four decades working in cybersecurity, fraud, and privacy around the world, working with governments, the military, the intelligence community, and the banking sector.
But it was never supposed to be that way, and Neal was destined to be a dressmaker and not a codemaker. Read more about his background.
After his decision to turn his back on his security career and focus on a more important mission, Neal is currently leading some of the nation’s most ambitious mental health initiatives.
- He’s the founder of the PsyberResilience project, studying the prevalence and impact of stress, burnout, and mental health issues in the cybersecurity workforce.
- He’s leading an initiative to develop standards for incorporating the mental health of residents into the planning of future smart cities, as part of the National Institute of Standards and Technology Global City Teams Challenge.
- And he’s leading Mynde.me, a ground-breaking effort to provide free mental health education and support to thousands of cities and communities across America.
His new book Cuckoo! is due out in 2021 and chronicles his accidental journey from dressmaker to codemaker and a move that threatened to take down the world’s biggest and most secretive global electronic spying network.
